Ms. Caitlin Campbell, Director & Local Coordinator
Dominion High School (Sterling, Virginia)

Ms. Caitlin Campbell is a Latin Teacher at Dominion High School in Sterling, Virginia. She holds a Master's degree in Latin Education, a Bachelor's degree in Classics (Latin concentration), and a minor in History from the University of Virginia. Ms. Campbell's professional memberships include the American Classical League, the Classical Association of Virginia, and the Foreign Language Association of Virginia. She also sponsors the Titan Latin Club and annual trips to the Virginia Junior Classical League Convention. In Ms. Campbell's spare time, she has found a new passion in Northern Virginia - Latin dancing! Her dance repertoire includes salsa, merengue, bachata, and a bit of Argentine tango.

Ms. Erica Eickhoff, Assistant Director
Belmont Ridge Middle School (Leesburg, Virginia)

Erica Eickhoff is currently a Latin teacher and Certamen Club sponsor at Belmont Ridge Middle School in Loudoun County. She graduated from UVA with a B.A. in Classics in 2012 and a Master of Teaching in Latin Education in 2013. While at UVA, she was president of the Classics Club and was actively involved in the planning of UVA's Classics Day. Her interests include mythology, especially epic poetry, travel, and environmental conservation. She has been fortunate enough to volunteer in recent years in Thailand and Greece with environmental organizations.

Ms. Alyssa Eversmeyer, Instructor
Potomac Falls High School (Potomac Falls, VA)

Alyssa Eversmeyer is a rising college freshman who will be attending the College of William and Mary in the fall, pursuing a degree in Psychology. She has taken six years of Latin and attended numerous Certamen competitions, Classics Days at UVA, and VJCL Latin Conventions. Her passion for the classics began in elementary school when she learned about Greek mythology and continues to this day as she struggles through the Aeneid for her AP Latin class. She spends her free time reading, writing, playing soccer, and watching Lord of the Rings.

Ms. Tess Jacobson, Instructor
Herndon High School (Herndon, VA)

Tess Jacobson is a high school senior with a passion for the Latin language. This past year she has been tutoring lower level Latin lovers and enjoys it! She will be starting her fourth year of Latin this coming school year and is very excited to do so. Besides Latin she also participates in Varsity Field Hockey and plays the upright double bass for the orchestra. Tess also loves to spend her free time volunteering at a camp for kids with special needs and at a therapeutic horseback riding organization.

Mr. Kevin S. Jefferson, Local Coordinator
Woodgrove High School (Purcellville, VA)

Mr. Kevin Jefferson is a Latin teacher and Latin Club sponsor at Woodgrove High School in Loudoun County, Virginia. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a major in Classics (Latin concentration). While in Charlottesville, he coordinated Classics Day, an annual Certamen and enrichment event for middle and high school students. He now directs the Latin Tournament of the Classical Association of Virginia. His professional memberships include the Classical Association of Virginia, the Foreign Language Association of Virginia, and the American Classical League. His personal interests include music, mythology, spoken Latin, and epic poetry.

As Director of Student Programs for Ascanius, Mr. Jefferson helps to design, organize, and coordinate both the major LatinSummer programs and smaller student outreach programs. He is also editing new volumes of lessons activities to introduce elementary school students to the ancient world. At this time, Mr. Jefferson also serves as the organization's webmaster.

Ms. Marie Murphy, Assistant
Dominion High School (Sterling, VA)

Marie is a sophomore at Dominion High School. She is a member of the Latin Club at Dominion as well as a member of the National Latin Honor Society. Marie has attended state Latin Convention since she began Latin as a 7th grader and has been a member of the Virginia Junior Classical League for the past four years. Some of her favorite topics are mythology, Roman life, and grammar. She plans to finish high school in AP Latin. In addition to her study of the Classics, Marie plays basketball for Dominion and is an all-honors student.

Ms. Colleen Roney, Instructor
Bishop O'Connell High School (Arlington, VA)

Colleen Roney graduated from Bishop O'Connell High School in May and is looking forward to attending the University of Virginia this fall. She was consul of Bishop O?Connell's Latin Honor Society and an active member of its Latin club. Last summer she attended the Virginia Governor's Latin Academy for the best three weeks of her life. At Academy, she played Lyco in the all-Latin production of Plautus's Curculio, and was elected aedile, or blogger. She is excited for her first summer with LatinSummer. Her outside interests include sailing and theater.
